1. Where is City Hall located?

City Hall is located at 2110 South Broadway, Oak Grove, MO 64075.

2. When is City Hall open?

Regular business hours at City Hall are Mon-Fri from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m with the exception of officially recognized holidays.

3. How do I receive text alerts?

The City of Oak Grove uses a text and email alerting service called NIXLE. Sign up for this service and receive free alerts about what’s happening where you live. Note: NIXLE does not charge the user for text or email advisories, however, depending on your mobile device service plan, your service provider may charge you for receiving emails or texts.

4. How do I pay my utility bill?

You can pay your water/sewer utility bill at City Hall during normal business hours with cash, check, money order, debit or credit card. We now accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover so you can call in to make a payment or go online and make the payment with Xpress Bill Pay. This can also be set up as an auto-pay method. Whenever you pay with a card there is a 2.8 percent convenience fee that is applied and paid directly to the credit card processor at the time of the transaction. The City of Oak Grove does not receive any of these monies from the convenience fee. We also have a drop box under the portico in front of the building which can be used after hours payments.

5. How do I obtain a pet license with the City?

If you live within the city limits of Oak Grove a city pet license and current rabies vaccination are required for all cats and dogs over 6 months of age. Rabies vaccinations must be given by licensed veterinarians. City pet license to coincide with rabies vaccination can be purchased at City Hall $5 for spayed/neutered and $10 if NOT spayed/neutered for both cats and dogs. In order to register and issue a tag for your pet(s), proof of rabies vaccination is required.

6. How do I search for Board of Aldermen agendas or minutes?

Board of Aldermen agendas and minutes can be found in the "Document Center".

7. How do I file a citizen complaint?

A citizen complaint for all non-police matters can be filed by completing the standard Citizen Complaint Form and returning the completed form to City Hall to be processed by the appropriate department or the City Clerk. 
Please Note: All police matters should be reported to the Police Department 590-3773 x 1100.

8. How do I get a business license?

A business license can be obtained by completing the standard Business License Application or it can be obtained at City Hall. Typically, a business license can be issued after approval within 2-3 days upon receipt.  When submitting the application please enclose a copy of your sales tax identification form as well as certificate of no tax due (if applicable) and the certificate of liability insurance with proof of workman’s compensation coverage if necessary with the City of Oak Grove as the certificate holder.  The completed application can be emailed to businesslicense@cityofoakgrove.com or mailed to City of Oak Grove, PO Box 805, Oak Grove, MO 64075.  The fee for the Business license is $25 for the full year and after July 1st $12.50 for a half year license.

9. How do I get a building permit?

A building permit can be obtained by completing the standard Building Permit Application online or it can be obtained from City Hall. A community development staff member will provide assistance and/or information to you based on the type of application.

10. How do I setup an inspection?

An inspection can be scheduled upon the issuance of the appropriate permit. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours notice for building inspections. Concrete inspections are subject to a 2 hour notice.
