Parks and Recreation

Oak LeafWelcome! Our mission as a Parks and Recreation Department is to be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our community members and visitors by providing well-maintained parks and facilities, innovative recreational programs and leisure activities, as well as a staff motivated in the best interest of the community.

The Parks and Recreation Department office is located in the lower level of the Civic Center at 2100 Broadway, Oak Grove, MO, 64075. Residents and non-residents wanting to reserve or schedule use of park facilities such as the ball fields, soccer fields, shelter houses, horse arena or other key park facilities may contact the Parks office directly at (816) 690-4003 or stop by the office.

City Parks

The City of Oak Grove has a number of various park and recreational facilities available to residents and non-residents. Facilities include Webb Park, Frick Park, the Oak Grove Pool, Skate Park, and Caraway Lake.

Webb Park

Webb ParkWebb Park has 47 acres of land located on the east end of town. There is a lighted pitching machine field, lighted ball diamonds, concessions building, t-ball field, lighted tennis courts, basketball court, sand volleyball courts, pavilions with picnic tables, restrooms, large playground equipment and a large parking area. Park hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Many events are held at Webb Park throughout the year. Some events include the 4th of July celebration and fireworks, Adult Softball Leagues, Youth Tennis Camp, USSSA baseball tournaments and several more. Be sure to check your Program Guide for updated dates and times of events.

Frick Park

Frick Park has 57 acres of land located on the west end of town. There are lighted equestrian arenas, a concessions building, a pavilion with picnic tables, small playground equipment, restrooms, full size athletic fields, junior size athletic fields, and large scenic area and picnic areas. Park hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Frick Park is home to many rodeos, soccer league play and football league play. Events such as THE SHOWTIME, flag football league, and the Pepsi NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Challenge are held at Frick Park throughout the year. Be sure to check the Program Guide for exact dates and times.

                                          CaraCaraway Lakeway Lake

Caraway Lake is approximately an 8 acre lake which is stocked annually with crappie, catfish, bass and other types of game fish. Fishing in Caraway Lake requires a fishing permit from the City in addition to the fishing license required by the state of Missouri. Park hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Skate Park

The Skate Park is located behind the Civic Center on a 60’ x 120’ concrete pad. It offers patrons several ramps or rails to use while skateboarding. A few examples are quarter pipes, grind rails, stairs and hand rails. Patrons are encouraged to wear safety gear while at the Skate Park. The skate park is open from dawn until dusk.

Amusement Park Tickets

Stop by the lower level of the Civic Center to purchase your discounted tickets to Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, Silver Dollar City, White Water, Schlitterbahn Village Park (new!!!) and Six Flags St. Louis. Tickets are for sale from April until September.
