Did you happen to get a new dog recently? Or maybe your dog needs to learn a few manners? How about working on socialization? We've got you covered! This is a basic dog obedience class for dogs 5 months and older. Dogs must be up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations. No female dogs in heat will be allowed. In this class, we will work on learning commands such as sit, down, stay, come, heel, sit-stay. leave it, watch, etc. We will meet for one hour on Wednesday nights from 6:15 - 7:15pm for 7 weeks starting September 22. This means that your success will be largely determined by the amount of work done at home. We know you can do it! Please note, we will not allow retractable leashes in the classroom. Please bring your dog's current rabies certificate or their puppy booster vaccination records (if not old enough for the rabies shot) with you the first night of class. To register, please contact the Parks office at 816-690-4003.

Have you completed a basic obedience class with your dog and you’re looking to build on what you’ve learned already? Check out our Advanced Obedience Class then! This class will meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 8:30 pm for 7 weeks (starting September 22). The cost is $105 per dog. In this session, we will build on those basic commands and also add distractions to help your dog learn to focus on you while chaos is happening. This will not be an off-leash class. You and your dog will improve on walking with a loose leash and trying to eliminate the need for corrections. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations (please bring rabies certificate the first night of class unless you provide it beforehand) and no female dogs in heat please. To register, please contact the Parks office at 816-690-4003.
