Certain streets in Oak Grove are designated as Emergency Snow Routes. These are traffic collector streets that get priority during plowing. Emergency Snow Routes are identified by signs.
The Snow Emergency is triggered when two (2) inches of snow is on the streets or the streets are covered with ice. When this occurs, no parking is allowed on Emergency Snow Routes. Vehicles still parked on Emergency Snow Routes starting one hour after a Snow Emergency is declared may be towed. Also, vehicles that become stuck on Emergency Snow Routes without mud and snow rated tires may be ticketed and towed.
